Malaga is great. We didn't do an excursion here, and there is plenty enough to on your own right in town. There are a lot of bar and restaurants right by the port, and it's not that far to walk to visit the Alcazabal Fortress.

We took the shuttle from the ship to the city center, but you would have no trouble walking to town. The port entry was filled with shops and restaurants. We walked to Picasso’s museum, had lunch at a sidewalk cafe where we had fabulous pasta and then hiked up and through the castle.

Muy fácil llegar desde el barco al centro de la ciudad. Gran cantidad de museos y restaurantes, calles rebosantes de buen ambiente. Sin duda uno de esos puertos en los que es mejor explorar la ciudad por ti mismo que reservar una excursión

I believe we went to a small village outside of Malaga and had a wonderful time!

We rented a taxi at the port with room for my scooter. At all stops actually. The rate was only 40 euros per hour for the cab. Not per person, for the cab! Our own private tour and able to stop fro photo s or bathroom breaks when we wanted to. Since we are older and I'm recovering from total hip replacement surgery this was important. This is also exactly what I plan to do on our next cruise. Adored Malaga.

It was a rainy and cold day but we made it a great day by walking to the Malaga Art museum. The collection is very large and is beautiful. You can spend four hours easily in the museum.

Take the excursion to the Alhambra if you have never been to Spain or Granada. Definitely worth the effort to see this magnificent palace.

Go to Gibraltar!!! The best stop by far. Make sure you take a taxi to the cable cars and ride up to the top to see the cute monkeys.
