Did a private bus tour to Ronda and Mijas. Not to be missed. Had time to explore both cities on our own with lots of great input from our guide. Lunch in Mijas in a back of restaurant garden was delightful. Cool in the mountains in May so take coats!

A lovely port. Within walking distance to the beach and the town. We had intended to do the horse and carriage ride, but there weren’t any available. There were many shops and bars within walking distance and it is a lovely clean port. Very accessible for wheelchairs.

Beautiful large city which reflected all the charm of Spain. We did a wine and Tapas tasting tour, which was good, but we didn't have choices of tapas to taste, and Spanish wine (At least what we tasted) is mediocre for me, at best! Still enjoyed the tour and our excellent guide, who fell and injured his cheekbone, but still carried on as if nothing happened.

If you want to go somewhere different to the crowds, head along the quay away from the ship and bear left. There's a marina with a long promenade that's lined with designer shops, bars, restaurants and a particularly nice ice cream parlour called Conico (has a penguin logo/sign). You might even see a policeman on a Segway! There's currently a big wheel further round to the left of the harbour. It's about 70m high I think, it's €10 per person, takes about 15 minutes to go round 3 times. The cars are air conditioned and there are nice views from the top. You can get a land train back to the ship for €3 per person if you don't want to walk.
