First visit to Bilbao and we took an excursion. Guggenheim Museum is an architectural marvel although for my taste the modern art within isn't much. Beautiful town and well worth the visit. Be careful about wandering on your own as the streets are narrow and twisty and it would be easy to get turned around. Seemed very safe though.

Beautiful city with breath taking views. Town was a short ride and many people walked to the beach. You could see it from the ship. Special props for seeing the so called bridge in Getxio. Built will a guy that studied with Gustav Eiffel, so you can guess what it looked like

By all means go to Gernika! That was a very special excursion, as well as the visit to a Basque festival.

Took a bus tour with a couple of stops, in hindsight probably would have just transferred into town. Ended up walking a couple miles back to the bridge to get more time with this unique piece of engineering.
