Ship docks about 20 minutes away. Taxis were about €25 each way! Ship offered free shuttles though.

Took shuttle to port for 10 Euros. Walked around. Found a restaurant for my husband to eat grilled octopus. He would give it 5 stars based on the octopus. Did not take an excursion.

There is a beach next to the port 5/10 minute walk, which despite the rain my daughter loved and went in the sea! We also took the shuttle bus into Bilbao but most of the shops were closed due to it being a religious day. We walked to the Guggenheim and saw the flower puppy and spider, definitely worth a walk around there and onto the bridge. There's also a play park close by to the museum.

Lovely town, shame we landed here in a Sunday as ALL shops closed (religious day in Spain) There were the odd 1 or 2 shops open and lots of nice cafè - lovely seafood and very pretty place

Beautiful ride into downtown as was the city itself but a bit overwhelming to get acclimated to by using the provided maps alone.
