We visited the Sagrada Familia and a walking tour of the city including Passeig de Gracia and Las Ramblas. Dined on tapas and Spanish wine!

One of my favorites cities... so much to do and eat! My top picks.. Sagrada Familia; Magic Fountains of Montjuic (free); La Pederer (Casa Mila); Music Palace; Parc Guell; Barcelona Cathedral & Gothic Quarter; Monserrat Mountains (day trip). And if you have more time... Barceloneta beach front; Palau Guell; Casa Batllo; Las Ramblas; Arc de Triomf /Parc Ciutadella; Placa Espanya/Arenas Mall. And if you have even more time... Parc del Laberint d'Horta (Maze park); CosmoCaixa science museum (under 18 free. otherwise 4€). Agbar Tower/Glories Mall. Aside from all the sightseeing make sure you make plenty time for tapas and cafes!

So much to see and do, visit the Mercado de la Boqueria which can be reached on foot as it’s close to the port, head up La Rambla (it’s free to do)

Barcelona is a beautiful city. Cost us €15 euro (15mins) from the port to Placa De Catalunya by taxi. We did our own walking tour using the Rick Steves Audio Europe App.

We stayed in Barcelona for a couple of days before the ship. Great city, never felt unsafe once! We walked from Mt. Monjuic back down to our Airbnb a 2.0 mile walk in the rain and we found our way. Taxis are very difficult to get, so whatever you read, don't let them tell you otherwise. One taxi driver, even after showing him the address took us in circles and didn't understand! We said take us home and pointed at the apartment address and got the heck out of his car as soon as we could!

We stayed several extra days and wished we could have stayed longer. The markets and weather were perfect for shopping, cooking and sightseeing.

A lovely city especially the main market and the Gaudi buildings. One tip if visiting the Sagrada Família is to buy “Beat the line” tickets before you go. The queues can be very long. But. stunning building both inside and out.

Get around on your own on the metro! Very inexpensive, takes you virtually anywhere you want to go in the city, is safe and speedy. Buy a 10-pass ticket for the day, and take your time enjoying everything the city has to offer!
