Unfortunately, I was disappointed in the panoramic tour of Vienna. The tour guide - Klaus - seemed to be a disgruntled French ex-patriot. Everything was rushed and we did not have much time to explore, eat, and purchase souvenirs. The city has become very run down since I was last there 20 years ago. The tour of Schonbrunn Palace was fantastic! Although it was EXTREMELY crowded and hot inside. The internal tour guides were very good. We did have sufficient free time to explore the grounds and browse the gift shop.

We did the included excursion in the morning which was very informative and good. We then returned to ship to refresh and ventured out with the metro on our own to St. Stephens Square which worked out very well as we were informed by our tour guide that morning. Transportation very nice and easy. Only disappointment was the amount of graffiti in Vienna. Also did the Mozart/Strauss concert in the evening, very Vienna, very entertaining.

We took the opportunity to visit this port on both days, so managed to see it both daytime & nightime, but please be aware that the roads from the boat (if you are moored close-by) to the town & back are dark so left some with safety concerns. There is a Metro service, but again you have to walk dark roads to it, so try & take the one transfer bus or get a cab. This had the best of the Christmas Markets at night, so please try & see it then as like all markets they are lifeless during the day.
