Went on excursion to Nimes, a nice old part of the city, and to Pont du Gard, which involved a long walk to the aqueduct and back. Interesting but not outstanding.

Sete is a small town, nothing really to see if you are staying at Sete. We stayed in town, had French petit dejeuner beside the canal. Walked around the shops and took a few photos are the canal and walk back to our ship.

Toured the city on our own. Absolutely delightful. A beautiful city, enjoyed Veil park. The Sunday's boat jousting tournament on the canal was unbelievably cool, preceded by parades throughout the town. Couldn't go the canal tour because of the jousting tournaments, but that's ok. If you're there on a Sunday skip the excursions and just go to Sete for the boat jousting. One of our favorite days. Not sure about other days of the week, but Sunday in Sete will always be a great memory!

There is nothing to do in Sete, so you have to take a tour. We did Monpelier, which was ok. The guide (Morgan) was rude, and there wasn't enough time in town to do what we wanted. The wine tasting was among 100 people--rather a joke.

We did the Walking Tour of Sete. Didn’t find the tour strenuous, but there was a lot of walking over uneven surfaces. Our tour guide was lovely, but unfortunately she was very hard to hear due to the traffic whizzing by at nearly every place she stopped to tell us something. Perhaps a microphone would have helped.
