More than 2 months before our cruise, I contacted you and we were told the same things in regards to an Excursion- “Paris on your own”. First, we were told that the bus would depart from the cruise ship at approximately 9:00 am. We didn’t actually leave on the bus until almost 9:45 am. Second, we were told that we would be dropped off in Paris at the Place de la Concorde in the City Center, we were actually dropped off at the Le Meridien Hotel nowhere near the Concorde Plaza. Third, we were told that we would be leaving Paris from the Place de la Concorde at approx. 8:30 pm. When we were on the bus to Paris, our host informed us that we would be meeting to leave Paris at 4:30 pm again from Le Meridien. I feel very strongly that Celebrity Cruises owes us a refund for this trip as the changes to the itinerary caused us multiple problems and caused us to miss important tours that we had to pay for in advance based on the 100% wrong information that was given to us. For example, since we selected the “Paris on our Own”, we chose a hotel within walking distance from the original site where we were supposed to be dropped off. As your team changed the itinerary on us without ANY Notice, we had to pay for a taxi ride to our hotel that was never anticipated. We missed our afternoon tour due to our late arrival in Paris since we didn’t leave at 9:00 am as promised. Also, we booked a full day tour on our second day in Paris that would have ended at approximately 6:30 pm but since you decided to change our departure time from Paris to 4:30 with NO notice, we could only attend a fraction of our paid in advance full-day tour and you caused us to miss the Eiffel Tower and the Seine River Tour and we only have time for 1 hour of time at the Louvre that was part of our tour package. In summary, I believe Celebrity owes me 188 euros for the missed tour that we only missed due to your incompetence in getting us to Paris. Half of our 296 euros for a full day tour due to leaving early from Paris, which equates to 148 euros. In addition, we paid for unanticipated taxi fares of 12 euros from the Le Meridien to our hotel, which location was changed and 20 euros for the taxi ride from the Louvre to the new departure point. My wife and I lost at least 386 euros. This was a very preventable issue if Celebrity just cared about quality customer service versus trying to make a quick buck!

Best shore excursion experience. Did Celebrity’s Beaches of Normandy excursion. Well worth the price. It included a fantastic lunch at the Caen Memorial WW2 museum. It was a 3 course lunch with bottles on wine included, very French. The sites were amazing. The tour guide was great. Best excursion ever!
