Review summary
Apex is a new, spectacular ship. Sailing in The Retreat (any suite) gives one access to perks, like he Luminaire dining room, The Retreat Lounge and Sun Deck, which are well worth the splurge especially on a long cruise with lots of at sea days. Our cruise was at about 60% occupancy so nothing ever seemed crowded. The BIG downside was that, two days before disembarkation, the captain announced that 3% of passengers having tested positive, masks would be required in all public spaces. And sure enough, one of us tested positive on our preflight test for our homeward flight so were stranded in Europe for another ten days. Not sure there is anything the cruise line could ahve done differently. Future cruisers beware!Embarkation
