Review summary

Celebrity Apex is another of the Edge-class ships which are a real step above. Service, food, and live entertainment were excellent. Weather was much better than expected with every day sunny and low 70's in early May. Seas were very smooth, but I think the stabilizer were helping a lot. I would definite do it again.

Celebrity Apex was spotless and well maintained. We are amazed at the many special design features that we kept discovering.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cabin was very comfortable with lots of storage nooks. Bathroom is much better than most cruise ships. The infinite balcony made the room feel much bigger.

Ship tip

Get out and explore. Apex has many unique features that you often find by accident. Try all of the main dining locations till you find the one that best matches your food and service taste best.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

5 out of 5
Easy to get to from the airport ($15 taxi) and easy to get checked in and on board.

Ponta Delgada, Azores

4 out of 5
Very pretty and friendly port with many places to see. Weather was very foggy when we were there.

Brest, France

4 out of 5
Port seemed nice, but our excursion left us too little time to explore.

Portland (Weymouth), England, UK

4 out of 5
Nothing close to the ship. Several places to take excursions to, but each had a significant drive.

Le Havre (Paris), France

5 out of 5
Le Havre is a beautiful port. Many places to go on excursions.

Zeebrugge (Bruges), Belgium

5 out of 5
A beautiful port and many places for excursions.

Amsterdam, Netherlands

4 out of 5
Pretty city and trains are nearby. I think you need a tour group because city was hard to navigate because all signs and announcements are in Dutch.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
