The "free shuttle" took us to the excursion place, when we thought it was going to La Spezia Centrale train station. When I asked the taxi driver the cost of getting from where we'd been dropped off, to the station, he said "50 euro." I reconfirmed several times that he was saying, "50" and not "15" euro (using my fingers to count :D), but he insisted "50 euro." Needless to say, I began to walk, ended up catching a city bus and from there caught a train to see Pisa. It was an adventure for sure... A wonderful fun day.

Pisa/Florence with GPS electronic devices through RC. Very nice excursion. Took a 1hr drive to pisa and spent 1 hour their. Unless you want to go to the top of the bell tower (leaning tower) then 1 hr is more then enough time. It's a courtyard with 3 buildings. Then back to the bus for another hour drive to Florence. 4 main attraction are all with in 10 to 15 min walk of each other. Plan on spending a good hour or 2 getting into the duomo. The Santa Croce was 8€ and no line. Lots of places to eat and shop. Bus ride back to La Spezi.

A bus tour to Cinque Terre made our day. Worth every penny. Took it on our own right from town. Very inexpensive and the 5 villages we visited were awesome. The tour is in a 15 passenger very comfortable bus and the scenery is great!

A generic port that we only saw going to and from the railway station. We took ourselves to visit the Cinque Terre towns by train. Very easy to do and well worth it. They all have their own charm and beauty.

I love very much La Spezia. My family and I took the boat to visit the 5 terre that are 5 villages. They are beautiful and I enjoyed them a lot. I took a lot of pictures and it was so crowded and a lot of stairs to walk.

You don't need to use expensive and tiring RCL excursions. Just take the train and bring your hiking shoes
