Book a cruise on your own for this port. You learn a lot more and a good guide can show you more in less time than if you go with a crowd. Eat something on the go (there is plenty of places), so you don't loose precious time.

Almost didn't go but pleased we did. The train rides were long but the city was great as was our guide, Birgit. Loved where we ate lunch. Good German food and great Cabaret type restaurant (Nolle). Was pleased that the Germans seemed repentant at what they had done in WWII and after. Would like to have had two days there as issued so much.

Chose to stay in Warnemünde rather than Berlin tour. My wife has German relatives and we were in the city recently so decided against the 6h round trip. Warnemünde is a pleasant little town, probably got the best of it because of the week long sea festival that is on just now - sitting on balcony watching dragon boat racing as I type. Town has main harbour area with food/drink stalls and little streets of shops and Café's to wander through. Cracking long white sandy beach and on a day like today it's busy busy and at 3eu for a beer it's a nice change from the mega Scandinavian prices😜

Recommend Friends of Dave tour. Hit three cities and avoided the long train ride to Berlin and back.

Pretty German Seaside town, lovely to walk round, chillax and have a beer. Walk along the seafront is lovely and the pretty houses in the town are very picturesque.
