It was a long drive but well worth the trip if you have never been there. We took one of the private tours which is a lot cheaper than the ship tours.

Nice train ride to the city of Berlin. Guide did a nice job of interpreting the history for us.

Berlin is 3 hours away by train or bus. We did a private excursion to Berlin where we had a quick overview of the sites which were interesting but I don't know were worth 6 hours on a bus. We were unable to see the Brandenburg Gate because of traffic problems.

Take the train to Rostock - easy enough on your own. Warnemunde was very nice too!

We took the train into Rostock for a few hours. The weather was not conducive to wandering too much but we throoughly enjoyed the trip to the city in anycase. We came back to spend a few hours in Warnemunde which we enjoyed as well.

The only excursion we took that we booked through Celebrity was here ... It was a joke! Both chirches were closed and they were the highlights! Kind of like goingto the Louvre and having your guide show you pictures of what is in the place! NO KIDDING ... that is what happened! Our tour guide showed us pictures of what was inside the churches!
