This port didn't have a ton to do but it had an amazing cathedral with a lot of history and museum. I would recommend doing the museum as well as it gives you more insight and background to the church

Was there on a Sunday so there wasn’t much open in the City but it was walkable from the pier. Took a tour to the RIngve Music museum that was very interesting.

Trondheim is a nice city and worth a visit if you want to experience older parts of Norway or learn how Trondheim resisted Nazi occupation during World War II. Visit the Cathedral, the resistance museum, the Bishop's Palace, the crown jewels, the older wooden buildings which have survived the various fires, the fort, and St Olaf's statue in the market square which acts as a sundial. Enjoy the city with its history but look out for the beggars as they can be pushy.

Alesund is a really interesting port. We docked right in the centre, and it was a 10-15 walk to the centre. It had lots of facilities: shopping centre, fish market, and lots of museums. We visited the cathedral, which we would highly recommend; the structure was beautiful. There were also lots of little, unique shops to walk around, which had interesting products! This is a port where you could do lots of walking, or very little, depending on what you feel like!
