Beautiful city with lots to do, the petroleum museum was lots of fun. We went on the hop on hop off bus tour and saw all sorts of different landmarks. Also it was a very rich city, I must have counted about 15 teslas that day!

Our excursion - Alborg Walking Tour” . We walked to the city center, entered the New Square and saw the 1624 home of Jens Bang. We past the 1762 Town Hall and went into the 14th century Cathedral of St. Bulof. The church was built in 1060 AD. The cathedral was amazing with a huge organ, beautiful statues, massive wall displays & pulpit, very unique pews and a beautiful altar. We walked through the Alborg Castle. We entered the Vor Frue Kirke Church. In the church, we saw two large tombs, enormous wall displays, a huge pipe organ and an altar that was fantastic.

Jumped on the hop on hop off bus, discovered a fair bit of the city. Went to the Viking museum which my daughters had a ball at. We wandered through the shops at the dock area, and the church down by the dock as well. It was a great day out

This was a lovely first port and so easy to do your own thing! We got straight of the ship and walked around all the lovely white wooden houses then spent a few hours walking around. We were here on a sunday so lots of shops were closed

Stavanger is one of Norways biggest cities and the ship was docked directly in the city centre. Many things to see. We have visited the town before and had a catamaran cruise to the Lysefjord and visited Preikestolen. Expensive but very amazing. Very expensive to book onboard. We booked directly at the operator called Rødne - www.rodne.no for much lower price.
