Took a long (8 hrs) bus tour - thoroughly enjoyed learning about Iceland. We have two Icelandic horses, so seeing so many of them everywhere was a thrill!

Most fantastic. Took a fantastic excursion to the ice tunnel at the top of the glacier and thoroughly enjoyed the day, although the lunch provided was not very good. It was good to get back on the ship for some real food to eat. The overnight stay was nice as it gave us the opportunity to sleep in and still have some time for some local time in the city .

Wish we would have just stayed in Reykjavik and never gotten on the boat! There is so much to do there.

We arrived a day early and booked a private excursion to tour the Golden Circle.

If you can book the blue lagoon independently than do so! Cruise companies (from personal experience) charge a substantial amount for children which don’t actually pay an entrance fee so it works out as a very expensive coach ride. If you wanted to visit the bridge over the tectonic plates then I’d suggest a taxi from the blue lagoon there as it’s closer then back to the port, that being said still expect to pay a steep price. All in all very beautiful and an amazing experience you will never forget

Very different from any other port of call...did the Golden Circle Tour and would highly recommend. A lot cheaper if you book on line before you go.

Wonderful port. We took the Golden Circle tour where we were served an excellent salmon meal. It was a nice overview of the landscape and living conditions there. I wish the bus had let us off at the top of walk in the National Park so I could have walked downhill. My knees could not do the uphill walk and it was the one place I was really wanting to see. The next morning we toured the city on our own. It is a lovely place. I wish our guide had been a little more fluent in English. It think that was a bit of a disadvantage for her. She knew her stuff but the language issue seemed to get in her way.
