Beyond Beatles mania we found the city to be friendly and enjoyed the food. Not to be missed is the British Music Museum right by the port, you could spend 1/2 day but could also see it in about 90 minutes. We did it as a last minute item and it was the highlight of the port.

Was a huge surprise we went on a Shore excursion with & we were astounded how much maritime history there was & how & why the city has changed. They were deservedly European Capital of Culture in 2008 & they are clearly proud of the legacy left by the Beatles. Don’t miss the stunning Victorian Round Library & thé cathedrals & a great guide with some Beatles music & other funny stories made for a great day out.

The ship docks right in the heart of Liverpool which is great. Rather than taking an excursion to Conwy Castle, we decided to take the train which worked out well. Highly recommend Conwy Castle, it was awesome to get to walk around inside and a great place to take photos!
