Review summary

The excursions during the cruise were informative, enjoyable and will be remembered for a long, long time. Cruising AQUACLASS, the food at the BLU restaurant was delicious. The additional cost to eat at other specialty restaurants was not worth the additional upcharge. Cabin service was excellent. The basic beverage package should be more inclusive, i.e. typical sized martinis at all bars and lounges. Being repeatedly asked to upgrade the beverage package seems "nickel and diming." The onboard entertainment was not on par with what we had come to expect on a Celebrity cruise. It seemed amateurish rather than polished and coordinated. The BEATLES tribute was most enjoyable and one female singer (name forgotten) was good.

Ship Quality

very good.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Cabin stewards did an excellent job. The cabins, like airplane seats, seem to be getting smaller in every new ship added to the Celebrity fleet. There seemed to be less counter top type space for items used several times a day.

Ship tip

The basic beverage package should not have to be upgraded. All drinks at all bars and lounges should be included in the basic package. The onboard photographers are as bad as Papparazzi chasing celebrities. Please limit their.

Ports of call

Amsterdam, Netherlands

Watch out for bicycles.

St. Peter Port, Guernsey, Channel Islands

5 out of 5
Enjoyed a bicycle ride on the island.

Cobh (Cork), Ireland

3 out of 5
Didn't realize Cork was so far away from the port of Cobh. Celebrity should provide a free shuttle bus to Cork.

Dunmore East (Waterford), Ireland

1 out of 5
Not much here other than the crystal factory. Suggest 2 nights in Dublin and omit Waterford.

Dun Laoghaire (Dublin), Ireland

5 out of 5
Hop On Hop Off bus gave us a chance to visit St. Patrick's Cathedral and the Guinness brewery.

Liverpool, England

5 out of 5
Hop On Hop Off bus and visit to the Maritime Museum were enjoyable.

Greenock (Glasgow), Scotland

5 out of 5
Greenock and Glasgow didn't seem to offer much. Glad we took the excursion to Edinburgh to see the castle and the royal yacht Brittania.

Le Havre (Paris), France

5 out of 5
The excursion to Mont St. Michel made this stop. The city of Le Havre itself didn't offer much.

Dover (London), England

1 out of 5
City center was disappointing. Didn't want to visit another castle at a high cost. Took the Hop On Hop Off bus.
