Didn't book shore excursion; walked harbor promenade & enjoyed free panorama movie at Scandic Maritime Museum, but should have taken excursion to Bukkoy or Karmoy Islands instead.

We found not much to do here and would recommend that NCL drop this port and find another one to add - or shorten the cruise by a day.

Nice enough place for a stroll. Other reviewers are correct in that there not a huge amount to see/do but we had good weather and a nice day mooching about seeing the highlights that this small town has to offer. The walk by the quayside was lovely.

A nice town as our last stop. Managed to have a road train trip and found the cupcake shop. Would certainly recommend an excursion here.

Took a shuttle bus into town and did some shopping on the pedestrian street.

Very industrial. The bridge is worth seeing but not walking. Very steep, and on the other side, there is nothing but a rough high street. The Marilyn Monroe statue was actually quite amusing to look at. Apparently, her father was born there. Good for people with very good stamina. Everything is quite distanced.

This is not the most scenic of the ports. We did the ship's tour Amazing Akrafjord, which involved a trip on a small boat to see a not very impressive waterfall. The lunch of local produce was delicious though - including cognac infused smoked salmon.

we visited on a national holiday, so many places were closed but we were able to walk out to a couple of sites and the local parade was very cool cultural experience. People were kind.

Haugesund is an oil town. Majority of the population work to support the oil drilling industry. There isn’t much to see or do in the city itself. Some shops. But you can take a tour to the island of Karmøy, for example, and there you have some Norwegian history and great views. Interesting and beautiful.

Large town. Nice to arrive at Constitution day. It was amazing to see all the children out in parades in their national costumes and seeing the pride the Norwegians take in their country,. A brass band met us at the ship and led the passengers into the centre of the town - a very welcoming special experience
