The excursion - Malbork Castle gives an excellent chance to see a well preserved castle from the days of the Teutonic Knights. Although it suffered much damage during the war, it has been restored to its original grandeur. We would choose this excursion again.

We went on the Gdansk City Tour. We saw St. Mary’s Church, believed to be the largest brick church in the world, with the interior vault supporting 37 windows, over 300 tombstones and 31 chapels. It can hold up to 25,000 people and took 159 years to build. The exterior bell tower is enormous. The entire structure is spectacular. We also walked to Oliwa Cathedral. We were lucky enough to be able to enter since no service was being held. Inside we were able to see spectacular architecture including its’ 18th century organ, which is one of the largest in the world. The organ has 7,896 pipes. Also seen was a fantastic altar and the handmade pews, which were fantastic. A great excursion.

We took an excursion that took you two two churches, the one midway offered a shirt organ recital. The feature here is the organ. While you face toward the alter, look back at the angels in the organ holding horns. They move with the music. St. Mary’s was the other church. It’s in Gdansk. The main thing my wife wanted was a special piece of Polish amber. We shopped and found a piece that will always remind her of her Baltic cruise to where her grandparents were born. Time was short so we didn’t have time to enjoy a break at a cafe before returning to the ship.

- Gdynai is 45 minutes from Gdansk but it’s worth the trip since that is a nice town. Do a free tour in the city since town is quaint. - Uber works in Poland and cheaper than taxi. Might have public transportation too. - We went golfing here at Tokary Golf Club but it was a cow field. There is another course there too and I’d choose that next time. Our drive was 30 mins and we had Uber guys stop at grocery stores to get beer/liquor for day and to sneak back on-board. NCL checks the hell out of all luggage for liquor in beginning but ours did not seem to care about liquids when boarding in ports. We could have smuggled anything onboard and Poland 1st good place for cheaper options.

Beautiful city with a great included walking tour. There was a festival going on and the city was very lively. One of our favorites.

I really liked Gdańsk and certainly is a magical city. There you can not only see a lot, but also find a great places to eat in like Szafarnia 10 with the view at the Moltwa River. There are served delicious seafood, fish, and what is more the place has an amazing atmosphere.
