Go to Canterbury! Go Punting! Tour the Cathedral! Eat and drink in a local pub! You won't regret it.

If you don't feel like taking a tour, staying in Dover and exploring the castle is a great way to spend the day. If you are a "walker", its a nice walk to the castle.

The tour to Canterbury and Leeds Castle was great and worth the money. The visit to Canterbury Cathedral is a separate charge from the tour. Unfortunately, our guide was not good.

We thought we we'd whizz through the castle and thence to Canterbury, but we walked up the hill, toured the underground tunnels where they planned the Dunkirk rescue, climbed a tower, had lunch etc., and that was the splendid day. The visitor bureau volunteers met us at the bus shop in town and were VERY helpful.

We went on our own to Canterbury and Dover castle. I would recommend an excursion but they were sold out. We loved Canterbury the castle was extremely interesting because it was the base for the Dunkirk rescue

Only Gave 4 Stars Due To Taxi & Ride Situation. Dover Is A Nice Little Port Town With Dover Castle & The White Cliffs! Being A Small Town Is Harder To Get Taxi Or Car Service…So Plan Ahead! This Area Does Not Have Uber, Lift, Or Bolt Either! Most Taxis Took Cash So Have Some With You Cuz Credit Card You Could Be Waiting Awhile! For Carnival Cruise Center City (Bus/Train Station) To Port 3 1/2 Miles. Gas Station With Convenience & Liquor Store 1 1/2 Miles To Port! So Be Prepared To Walk To Port Cuz Limited Taxis! Port Was Very Fast With Boarding & Disembarking Process! Just Transportation Is Only Negative About This Port👍

Great place to visit. By itself you will need at least 5 days to explore just London by itself. All the cafes and resteraunts are great and there is is always something to do and something happening. Such a beautiful city.

We tried very hard to arrange for an excursion to see the White Cliffs of Dover but couldn't make it work because the tour was too long and couldn't believe when the ship docked right across from the White Cliffs!!
