Review summary

If you like castles and countryside, this itinerary is for you.  Everystop includes a "castle" where you can step back in history.  You also get to experience the history of the monarchy and visit some of the places they stay when "in the area".

Ship is "Celebrity" with all that you would expect.  The entertainment is good, with a lot of music around the ship.  There could be more activities for days at sea, particularly since this itinerary is not a "lay in the sun" weather.  A lot of the seminars were around things they sell rather than some activities that get one moving.

Dining met/exceeded expectations. Stuck to the dining room using select dining.  If you find a waiter you like, stick with it and ask to be seated in that section nightly.  It pays off.

Ports of call

Amsterdam, Netherlands Did not visit port

Unless you do an "add on" day, you really don't see Amsterdam

Dover (London), England

5 out of 5
If you don't feel like taking a tour, staying in Dover and exploring the castle is a great way to spend the day. If you are a "walker", its a nice walk to the castle.

Invergordon (Inverness & Loch Ness), Scotland

1 out of 5
We didn't get there due to extra day in Edinburgh (thanks to spending a day in the harbor due to winds!)

Belfast, Northern Ireland

5 out of 5
The Giant's Causeway is worth the trip!

Dun Laoghaire (Dublin), Ireland

5 out of 5
Go online and find a walking tour...and meander the area. Start at Trinity College...won't regret.

Cobh (Cork), Ireland

5 out of 5
Blarney Castle (and kissing the blarney stone) is a little hokey but the park is beautiful to walk around. The town of Cobh is very pleasant and a trip to the Cathedral is a must.

St. Peter Port, Guernsey, Channel Islands

5 out of 5
Spend a day walking. If you want to see Victor Hugo's home, make a reservation ahead of time or it won't happen. You can still see the gardens and this is worth it!

I did kiss the Blarney Stone in Ireland and visited the Giants Causeway too. Your itinerary sounds wonderful. I hope there are more cruises in your future. Thanks for posting your first review here.
