We did the hop-on-hop-off bus from the port. Spent a lot less than we would have on a tour. It was a little strange getting on and off the ship since we were a couple of the few who were not disembarking here. Those of us who were disembarking in Germany were able to use a separate and much smaller line to get back on the ship.

Used excursions.com for trip into copenhage with lovely imformative guide. Lots of road works going on though.

My husband and I were greatly disappointed in this port city. It was quite expensive and not as exciting as we expected. We did not even see the " Mermaid " as it was loaned to another country.

Spend at least two full days in Copenhagen before or after the cruise. See Tivoli Gardens, Nyhavn, shopping /pedestrian streets and plazas. Well worth it. Good boutique hotels in Nyhavn allowing you to walk to all.

Used hop on /off bus from port saw changing of guards at palace , boat trip . Bus a little slow at times didn’t have time to hop off at all sites
