Liked Cobh. Cork is a big city, not easy to walk.

Irish people are proud of their houses. Loved seeing the villages. But not seeing the Blarney Castle was a disappointment & a wasted trip.

We stayed and went around Cobh ourselves it was a very enjoyable walk around the little town. We actually took a walking tour with a local we met after disembarking the ship.

We did a shore excursion to the Blarney Village, & Blarney Woollen mills. Enjoyed the Irish countryside, via the coach. Blarney village was a great way to start our Irish segment of this cruise.

These locals were excited to have us there and they were awesome. Used Patty Wagon Tours, and great experience.

Kissing the Blarney Stone requires a difficult climb up uneven steps.

Blarney Castle (and kissing the blarney stone) is a little hokey but the park is beautiful to walk around. The town of Cobh is very pleasant and a trip to the Cathedral is a must.
