Took the Hop-on, Hop-off bus to view what Bergen has to offer. The fish market was quite small. We took the funicular for a view of the city and a short walk. This port offered the best shopping of the trip. If you want a locally made and designed Norwegian sweater of superior quality visit Dianne Fosse sweaters. The designs were made by her and she and her mum work at the store.

There is so much to do here just in the city itself. Since we had spent three days here previously, we chose to go outside the city to see Hardangerfjord & Highlights of Scenic Norway. The tour lasted 7 1/2 hours. It was an excellent tour that I highly recommend. The tour includes a panoramic city tour, too. It was fun crossing Fusafjord by ferry. There is plenty of miles of scenery along the shores of the fjord with the majestic mountains on the opposite side. After a Norwegian buffet we stopped at the Steinsdal Waterfall and could walk under the falls. Unfortunately, just as we arrived at the falls, it began raining steadily. By the time we reached the Tokagjel Gorge and the Kvamskogen Mountain plateau the rains stopped. This is a great tour if you enjoy scenic driving.

Bergen is beautiful. The city is clean, and has many sculptures and museums. It is a city of art. The ride in a cable car gives wonderful views of the city from on high.

Loads to see in Bergen but we headed straight for the 'Ice Magic'. An ice bar with some wonderful sculptures and carvings. Lovely friendly staff and well worth a visit.

Great little port. We decided to go up the funicular and then hike up to the radio tower. There were definitely some inclines but nothing you couldn’t do in normal sneakers. Basically carriageways almost the whole way up. Great panoramic views from the top and a flock of sheep to keep us company. Loved the view from up there and hiked back down with plenty of time to wander the fish market and shops in Old Bergen. We didn’t have time to go to the museums but since we lucked out with clear skies decided the hike would be worth it.
