Loved Malta. Great place to visit and learn culture about. I didn’t plan excursion for this port so I wasn’t sure what to expect. We purchased a HOHO for I think 25€ for two at the port so it was very cheap and easy to find the stops, close to walk to first bus stop and good routes. Only slight issue was over congestion of busses. Buses were supposed to run every 15-20 mins, but ran closer to 20-30 at some stops, and ticket issues caused long delays. People would push and shove trying to get on a bus going on a particular route and they would fill up quickly, so you’d have to wait another 20-45 mins for a bus. There are different companies, I’d recommend checking out the bus stops near the port first to see how crowded they are I’d pay more fora different company than to deal with the cut throat bus hopping on and off situation again. Still enjoyed everything, beautiful picturesque place, cheap local food and drinks.

We caught the hop on hop off bus, but we were overwhelmed by the sheer number of visitors. The port area was beautiful as was the old parts of the city accessed by the lift.

Nice to see the fortification of Malta. Great arrival into port by the forts of the past built of limestone. Well balanced stable country.

We did an excursion, "City of Knights & Mdina". Malta is beautiful, the church, St John's co-cathedral, the conventual Church of the Knights of Malta was absolutely stunning, And Mdina, "The Silent City" was just beautiful!!! A must see. We started off rough with our guide, (we lost him!!!!) but the destination made up for that rough start.

We did a ship tour, first touring Mdina, the old area, and then Valletta. We enjoyed the second part of the tour more than the first. Valletta was beautiful. It’s cathedral and art were fantastic.
