did Not do an excursion here. Just got off the ship and went on the grey line hoho bus which took us to the Acropolis. After this we got on the grey line round Athens hoho. When we had finished exploring we caught it back to the Acropolis where we changed onto their Piraeus bus which took us back to the port. All for a cost of 15 €. Very enjoyable.

Train is about a 20 minute walk and an economical way to get to Athens and the sites...The busses were challenged returning to the ship due to a demonstration in Athens, some passengers opted off the busses to take a cab to make it back.. the train was unaffected. The Acropolis is a must see item if you've never been there.

Acropolis trip superb, a great guide who made a hot day manageable. No need to worry about the climb up. The steps are only few mostly it is walk way and steps are graduated. I have a dodgy knee and nearly gave this trip a miss fearing I would hold people up, but the pace was slow anyway and the views and experience is not to be missed

Watch out for the taxi drivers. They will try every trick they can to rip you off. One got pissed we didn’t want a tour and drove like a maniac and tried to double charge. Crazy. Make sure you pay in low bills only... my second taxi driver said a 50 was a 10. Scam artists.

This was okay, but would have been outstanding on a different day. The Acropolis is closed 25 & 26 Dec. Also, for excursions, there are taxi drivers who will stay with you the whole time and take you to the major sites, for less than the excursions. Also there is a hop on/hop off bus.
