We did not take the tour but saw the acropolis and other sites by ourselves. That took a little extra effort but was well worth it.

We did a free walking tour that lasted over 2 1/2 hours and the guide was terrific. He gives tours on the weekends on his own and works just for tips. Check: AthensFreeWalkingTour.com website before booking through cruise line.

We chose corinth canal excursion 5.5 hours thinking we could catch some of athens when we returned . This was not possible . They are in different directions and there is not enough time. Corinth was good. Our guide had lots of knowledge and liked to talk. Being were the apostle Paul had been was exciting.
