Enjoyed Patmos very much. Quiet island, as compared to the other islands visited. Visited Monastery of St. John, Cave of Apocalypse and swam at a nearby beach.

It rained and most of port was closed. We heard some folks say this was one of their favorite ports but I didn’t see how.

We walked the village and met some lovely locals. If you rent a motorcycle, you must where the helmet.

Nothing to see on this island, locals were not friendly at all, shopping was not great. We tried to rent a scooter there, and after being told noone had it, we found one place that did have them. When we initially asked him, he said he had none. Then he asked to see our license, when he saw the U.S.A. license, he said no this doesn't authorize motorcycles even though it does not have it written anywhere. But when he saw another person after us had a EU passport he didn't evgen ask for the license.

Nice too, but once againe not alot of time. they drove us to the center of the city where you could site see alittle, shop and eat. Shppers be warned you will not get a good deal in Greese, EVERYTHING is over priced.

We didn't get to visit the Monastery but still took a cab from town to the Chora to walk around. The cab ride was 5 minutes up the hill. Beautiful views from up there of this gorgeous little island.
