Amazing city! Trevi Fountain still takes my breath away! Private excursion for the day meant we were driven right up to every main sight! Well worth it and so much cheaper than the shop excursion!

Took an excursion that went EVERYWHERE! Lots of walking which we enjoyed. It is an hour and a half just to get from port to Rome so plan this in your day.

We loved Rome we booked the excursion that went inside the colosseum and The Vatican including the Sistine Chapel. Amazing. I'd go back again and again!

Went to Rome, have been there before so we took a bus/walk tour. After 1.5 hours we reached our destination and left the bus we were told this was a comfort break so use the toilets the only thing was they were not public toilets they were in restaurants so obviously you had to buy something. The person in charge of the tour was very time concious and kept pushing the tour on where as the person giving us the actual commentary was relaxed. We stopped for lunch which was nice but again we were asked to rush. All used the toilets. We re-boarded the bus and went to the Vatican where we had another walk , 10 minutes in a shop and then back to the bus. By now some of the older people were feeling it and unfortunately one of them had had an accident in their trousers. We now had a return journey to contend with so my partner stated to the guide she wanted a comfort break on the way back the guide reluctantly let this happen but at this break the people who got off were harassed and told to hurry up. We had been warned that if we left the tour group we would not be let back on the ship.

This was the one day that it poured rain all day. As a result it made for a bad experience. Otherwise had the day been sunny I think our expectations would have been met. Not anyone’s fault except Mother Nature. LOL

This was basically a bus ride by attractions which we never really got to even get a decent picture of. What was supposed to be a tour (Rome City Sights) of the City sights that was for older, less mobile people. Where they parked the bus was pretty far from where St Peters Square was. You had to walk through two totally dark tunnels (only light were from people’s cell phones). We were walking into the square while other people were right beside us in the same tunnel walking back to their bus) I felt really unsafe going thru these creepy, dark tunnels. Plus, it was a lot more walking than they had indicated it would be. By the time we got to the square, waited in a long line for the bathroom, you only had about fifteen minutes left to see the square. Then it was time to turn right around and go back through the dark, creepy tunnels to go back to the bus. Those tunnels just didn’t feel safe and the darkness added to the creepiness. Our tour guide was a young person who had no passion whatsoever for what she was doing, and never would slow down her speed walking so the lower mobility people on the tour could catch up, and there were several using canes. ☹️ It was not an enjoyable way to experience Rome at all

Did a Cruises Only “Combo” tour. Never again. There was no real lunch break, sitting breaks and little explanation in advance that we were on our own to get to the next tour. It wasn’t really a combo; it was two tours shoved into one long day. Very stressful and exhausting.
