It’s a working port, nothing there. Organised excursion to Rome and back. Rome was ridiculously busy. Be prepared to be harassed by people trying to sell you things, couldn’t walk 2ft in front of you without being stopped by someone. We walked around most of Rome and there was lots of beautiful buildings to see. Can officially tick it off my bucket list but I’ll never be back.

Visiting Rome while the Trevi was operating was a good thing! Last time it was under repair. Being in the city is busy. If you've never been, Rome is a must. If you've been before...try something different.

Did Rome on our own on the train, effortless and cheap. Saw some of the main sites but not much time to really explore.

Not the nicest port. Did not go on excursion. Port too far from the airport and trip to port is expensive.

would be nice if we had more time in room. It is a long ride from Civitavecchia to\from Rome that you lose a lot of time during that travel
