It's really just a port to board the ship or get off of the ship. It's a long trip and not very exciting trip to get there.

Rome was very crowded, people (tourist) everywhere. Did the classical tour which was very interesting. Would have loved to go inside the colluseum but do to time constraints and the many people in line this was impossible. St Peter's Basillica was incredible but again very crowded. Watch the pickpockets in these crowded areas. Tour guide utilized radios with ear pieces so that all could hear her discription of the places visited which was very helpful
