Rome was ok more historical than anything, we did a tour here and driver took us to do some local shopping and eating. Not a place I would hav3 to return, the drive from port to Rome was about a hour.

St Peters square and the tour through the Basilica was outstanding. A picturesque tour with a very knowledgeable guide. The Colosseum and Trevi fountain produced goose bumps upon learning of it's history

We took a train into Rome then the 'Hop on Bus' for a city tour followed by a tour of the Vatican. It was very hot and crowded this time of year. I purchased everything in advance of leaving home. This worked out very well.

We had been there before. We did an olive oil excursion that wasn't worth the money. It never showed us anything about making olive oil--just gave us wine and a snack.

Town quite littered. Vatican City closed off due to huge marathon and we couldn’t see Vatican City due to it being closed for all saints day. Should have gone a day earlire. 🙄

Rome is wonderful but typical noisy tourist city. Sistine Chapel is overrated. sistine Rome is a noisy,crowded, tourist city but worth the visit to see the sites, The Sistine Chapel is overcrowded and the lighting is poor.

The coliseum was overwhelmed with tourists, but I would not have wanted our family to have missed this stop. The history of what occured inside this place was fascinating.
