St Peters square and the tour through the Basilica was outstanding. A picturesque tour with a very knowledgeable guide. The Colosseum and Trevi fountain produced goose bumps upon learning of it's history

We took a train into Rome then the 'Hop on Bus' for a city tour followed by a tour of the Vatican. It was very hot and crowded this time of year. I purchased everything in advance of leaving home. This worked out very well.

Town quite littered. Vatican City closed off due to huge marathon and we couldn’t see Vatican City due to it being closed for all saints day. Should have gone a day earlire. 🙄

Rome is wonderful but typical noisy tourist city. Sistine Chapel is overrated. sistine Rome is a noisy, crowded, tourist city but worth the visit to see the sites, The Sistine Chapel is overcrowded and the lighting is poor.

The current Excursion bubble that is forced on the cruise industry by Italy is very annoying. We could not shop or even talk to the locals. It was very heart wrenching to walk by the stalls with our money, rather than gifting the locals with some of the abundance.
