Make sure you go to Oia. It is fantastic. Ride the donkeys up to Santorini and take the cable car back down.

Take the excursion to Oia Village and come back to Thira in the latter part of the day. Wander every moment you can-- get up early as this will be the best port of the trip. See the church in Thira and make sure to eat local fare in Thira too.

Breathtaking vistas. Shopkeepers not pushy at all. We got a private tour bus from the port to Oia for 5 Euros person, one way...great deal.

If you didn't do an excusion you only had about 3 hours at port. After you got boated to the shore and went up the cable car you lost a lost of time. The island is beautiful, and so is the view. Really need more time here.
