Review summary

If you like small ships, less than 2500 passengers, this is a good ship. The crew made this ship very good. The ship needs some TLC and more attention paid to detail. Shows presented were average. Food in the Minstrel Dining Room was average at best.

Solid but definitely not anything like I have experienced in the past with RCL....average at best.

Lot of options. Lines at Guest Relations were long a lot of times and did not seem to move fast at all.

Service and Staff

There were several employees that stood out, learning your name and not letting your drink reach the bottom. They wait staff made this cruise.

Ship Quality

It may be minor but there were a ton of light bulbs that were out. In the outside near the Windjammer, paint is peeling.

Cabin / Stateroom

Stateroom was adequate. Stateroom assistant was the best.

Ports of call

Villefranche-Sur-Mer, France

Views were great. Nice was nice.....French service, at least to these Americans, was not friendly at all.

Don't Miss: The skills of the tour bus drivers.

Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy

St. Peter's Basilica is a must...not enough time for us in Rome...too much to see.

Kusadasi (Ephesus), Turkey

Vendors very pushy. Everyone tried to get you into their shop. That being said, Ephesus was absolutely stunning.

Don't Miss: Ephesus ruins.

Santorini, Greece

Breathtaking vistas. Shopkeepers not pushy at all. We got a private tour bus from the port to Oia for 5 Euros person, one way...great deal.

Don't Miss: Oia....views from here were stunning.

Naples, Italy

Loved Pompeii. Did not make Capri.

Livorno (Florence & Pisa), Italy

Loved Florence. It really is a must stop....Ponte Vecchio bridge was beautiful

The Parthenon was breathtaking. The Plaka was very good.

Pros: The ports were the best

Cons: The Brillance of the Seas is showing its age.
