we took the bus to oia and then walked back via the coastal path..took the tram up as we were first and then walked down fighting the donkeys obstructions

Beautiful but it rained for a few minutes which took out all electricity and no way to get down the hill - it was awful and ship gave us no warning and no help.

We booked a private tour with a couple from another ship that was in port that day. The guide took us all over the island. It is small so therefore it can be done in the short time in port. The views from Fira, Oia (try to get to castle ruins) and Profitis Ilias are phenomenal despite the overcast weather, drizzly weather we had. It is amazing how the other side of the island is flat.
