Santorini was beautiful. However, there were too many ships there. Getting on the cable car to get up and down was very slow. A couple of the ships were Norwegian. Because the line for the cable car was too long and we were concerned about all aboard time we walked down the spiral walkway. 40 minutes to walk down .6 miles. Distance not bad, but the walkway is slick and dangerous. You also have to share the walkway with donkeys, which only made things worse. Then 40 minute wait to get in the tender. Leave lots of extra time after your tour do you can take the cable car down. Many older people will not be able to safely navigate the walkway. Tour of Santorini is a must, but plan return accordingly.

Rode the mules up to the town which was, shall we say, an experience. After that we spent six hours enjoying a refreshing afternoon of swimming and sailing from a deluxe catamaran whose crew was extraordinary. We finished the day seeing a gorgeous sunset as the boat was returning to the port.

The Cities and Churches on the Island were beautiful. The only bad part was that the cable car was broken when we needed to get back to the ship. So we were forced to walk down the donkey path. We made it unharmed (took an hour) but two people on our ship suffered broken bones from falling.

The views literally took my breath away. Magnificent turquoise waters as a back-drop for the cliffs scattered with white houses, with characteristic blue roofs and doors. Don't miss the greek design gold jewelry, the baklava, and the light-weight, comfortable gauze clothing.

The Oia and Akrotiri ruins tour was fair. Our guide was just ok. The ruins are fascinating and definitely worth seeing. Oia is beautiful but crowded. We went in September and only 2 ships were in port. It is hard to imagine how crowded it must be with more ships. The tour was a large bus with earpieces. Like many tours, this one at times felt more like an opportunity to shop in recommend stores than a tour.

Got off on an excursion at OIA, purchased 2 shirts, a Gray Lazy Donkey Shirt size Large and a White Deep Blue in Greece size Large. Laid the bag down to take a picture, and when I went to gather my stuff, the bag with the shirts was gone. My purse was still there, but my souvenirs were gone:(. I hope someone on Jewel of the Seas picked it up and will turn it into Lost and Found... we were in OIA from 9-10:15 this morning. It disappeared around 9:50. We purchased the shirts at the House of Art. If you picked them up... PLEASE get them back to me!!
