Amazing port, very frustrating that we only have one day here. The cruise needs to extend this, it's worth the money. You can't see everything in the small amount of time provided.

Take the tram. The donkeys and walking on the stairs are awful. Don't Do It!

Did a private tour on Santorini that included a visit to a winery - We had lots of free time to explore on our own. Beautiful place - must get very crowded at the height of the season.

Loved this port and town. Once again we enjoyed our pre booked tour. We were on the first tender and the first on the donkeys which we rode up the walkway. Cable car on return had queues that were too long and we did not want to use the donkeys again so we walked down.

This exception was good if you really like to shop. The tour guide gives a short tour speech, and then you are on your own for awhile, back to the bus, another stop and then you have more time on your own and get back to the ship on your own. The cable cars back to the ship they will tell you the line is long, and it is. We did not shop when to get into the line to go back to the ship and it was almost 1 1/2 hours in line. If you care to walk its a long way down, and you are also walking where the donkeys walk so watch your step.

The views were wonderful. However we were lucky in that we were the only cruise ship in the town thus it was not too crowded.

We were there last week, we were on a cruise ship and did a ships tour. It was busy as people say and is no dought being spoilt by so many people. But it’s not just the cruise ship to blame, when we were in the port going back to the ship, ferries arrived with loads of people. It is a beautiful wee island.
