Took a tender to shore. The ship was in port only 4 or 5 hours. Took a Hop On, Hop Off bus. Very nice tour of the area. Took a short walk around the walled in area.

This was my favorite port. It is reached by sailing up a submerged river valley (Ria) that looks like a Fiord. Get up early to be on deck to witness the ship passage through this beautiful setting. You can go high up on the surrounding hills to get a great view of the town and the ships in the harbor.

We opted not to do an excursion but rather to explore the region on our own. THIS CITY WAS MY FAVORITE!!! If you have the endurance, climb to the top of the steps for an amazing view of the port and town below.(3 Euros for adults, children are free)

We didn't book any excursions here. We took the advice of one of the wait staff and went to the village and walked around, ate great food...the bay itself is absolutely gorgeous. Lots of history. Loved it.

Kotor, Montenegro! I could stay for months! We took a tour offered here on shipmate -Kotor 3 in 1 - boat, kayak and bike. Kotor is settled on a beautiful bay surrounded by majestic mountains. We first took a boat to see “Our Lady of the Rocks”, a man made island (quite a story there) with a small but beautiful Roman Catholic Church built by local seaman. After going back to shore, we voted to skip the kayaks due to cooler weather, deciding to take a city historic tour instead. We then hopped on beach bikes and road a few miles to the town center. Our native guide, whom we called “V” told us fascinating stories about the buildings and lifestyle of the people there. It should be on every person’s bucket list. A must see!

Couldn't fault it, beautiful town, only managed the old town on or first visit, which was so full of history. Loved it. Such a scenic cruise through the sounds to get there.

We booked a beach excursion to Budva Rivieria which was cancelled due to wind. We were happy it was, because I had read about hiking up the city walled area to top of fortress for amazing views below. This was a highlight of our trip. It was about 2.5 hours RT. Bring water and dress appropriately. Sneakers are a must. The town was cute with little shops and alleyways. A wedding was at church day we were there. Interesting to see procession thru town.
