The bazaar is crowded and there are peddlers trying to sell you things on the street so be prepared. Just shake your head 'No' and don't try to communicate with them because they will never leave you afterwards. The peddlers will go on about their business if you just shake your head 'No' that you're not interested. Don't expect to see the bazaar in 1 day, just see what you can in the time allowed.

WOW! Absolutely my favorite stop! It was Mother’s Day here too, so there were crowds. There wasn’t enough time here to even scratch the surface but what little we saw was beautiful & interesting, especially the Topkapi Palace. The Grand Bazzar was closed on Sunday, that was disappointing.

We just explored on our own in this city, our favorite part was the Grand Bazar and Spice Market. The Blue Mosque was gorgeous (women make sure your shoulders, head and knees are covered-men shoulders and knees)

Good spot but both Grand Bazaar and Spice market were closed due to a holiday. Nothing was added and no discount for not seeing these 2 spots. We might have chosen a different excursion if we would have known we weren't doing those 2 things.
