Went to Lassi beach then shopped. Highlight was eating at The Captains Table. Told them to bring us whatever he thought we should try. The food just kept coming and was amazing, at a very reasonable price.

I'd never even heard of Argostoli...it was the most beautiful destination. VERY calm waters with giant turtles hanging around the waterfront. The people were SO nice. Very relaxing. Again, we walked everywhere. We did take a little "train" ride around the city for 3.5 euros. Eh. ;-)

Save some shopping money for this port, its the best value all week, just keep walking - a cool little town when you get a little past the initial waterfront. Enjoy a beverage in the town square or at Kafe Kefalonia, water front.

Caught taxi to Lassi beach, 10 euro each way. Nice relaxing day at beach, sun beds, bar, clean toilets and WiFi.

Make sure to walk inland about a quarter mile to one of the travel agencies on the island and take the bus tour that goes to the cave and then a beach swim. The beach they take you to is secluded and one of the most serene places on earth.
