Very interesting port. You can see the history as you pass by the fortress coming into the Havana harbor. I did the Cigar Factory and Rum Museum as a solo with my tour guide Lisette. She being local, knew how to get around and had much pride for her country. She spoke very good English, and seemed to know everyone on the Island from taxi driver who stayed available to us the whole morning. I even bought her lunch for being such an informative guide and I had the best Cuban Sandwich! She made my time in Cuba fabulous! I cannot thank her enough.

I would highly recommend the Highlights of Old and New Havana bus tour, especially if it is your first visit. We plan to go back as there was so much more to see than we had time for.

Loved it. I did the bucket list excursion booked through RC. Loved our tour guide. Do not know her name, but I called her “Jewel” simply because her name was close to that in Spanish.

Cuba was amazing! We will definitely be going back. We saw the Tropicana show the first night we were there, hubby didn't care for it, and I could have gone with out, but was told it was a must see in Havana so we did it. It is an over the top cabaret show, so if latin music and showgirl type of stuff is your thing then why not? We bought through their website so it was cheaper than going through the cruise, and they give you a bottle of rum and couple cans of coke during the show. The second day we booked a tour of Havana with Yosel of I Love Cuba Guided Photo Tours. He was amazing. Brought us to all the important spots in Havana. It was like a 6 hour history lesson. 200cuc for 6 hours and he takes all the pictures for you! Just bring your SD card for him. Definitely recommend Yosel and his company.

We did an excursion through a 3rd party Old Cars Havana and really enjoyed that as well as booking dinner and the show directly through The Tropicana. We loved Havana and are hoping to go back some day.

Loved this port also. Getting on and off ship was organized and went well. We did the Tropicana show and had great seats. Bought seats ourselves from home and had great seats. Heard some complaints on the ship from people that did the ship tour and had terrible seats. Glad we did our own.

Cuba is interesting, we took the old car tour and it was great! I wish we had more time there . We didn’t experience any problems and all the people were friendly and the people who understood English were helpful.

Took Norwegian Sky to Cuba & loved Cuba. The first day in Cuba, we took a Coco cab to the marketplace for souvenirs and came back to the bus tour offered by the ship. We saw Revolution Square, the historical cemetery, the fort, and the market, again. For our second day, we had booked (before sailing) a private tour for 160 CUC for both of us through CubaOutings on TripAdvisor. We messaged each other through Facebook and scheduled a time for them to meet us at the port after passing customs. We rode in a 1959 Impala and it was EXCELLENT! Irena, our guide, spoke great English and took us where we had requested. We saw a beach, the surrounding area of Havana, Hemingway's house (a must-see), and ate at an authentic Cuban paladore which served us too much food for 20 CUC each (and didn't get ill), and an art museum. We walked through the old streets of Havana. We were able to mail our postcards at their post office. The Cuban people are intelligent, very friendly and helpful and it was very safe. The facilities are not modern but they're clean. READ up about do's and don'ts on the internet. I would give this adventure 5 stars except a day at Stirrup Cay is ok for sunning and swimming but I would rather have an extra day in Cuba. The Sky was a good ship with nice staff. Food was ok.

Visiting Havana was a great experience and was very different from other ports of call. At the time we sailed, there was still a "Support of the Cuban People" option as a reason to travel and we found great excursions through Airbnb experience. We were able to get a very real picture of life in Havana and met some great people. The overnight experience was also an amazing way to experience Havana nightlife!
