We enjoyed this trip tremendously. We have been recommending to everyone, and would definitely do it again, and will definitely be looking into another Cuba cruise with Norwegian for the future.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Everything went very smoothly,
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
We didn't try any of the formal sit down restaurants, or any of the extra charge restaurants, we were just happy to go with the flow and eat at our leisure at the buffets.
Drinks were all good
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
We sat by the pool & played basketball, but that is it for activities for us.
Entertainment
We did not watch any of the enteraiment on ship
Children's Programs
This trip was without the kids
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Service and Staff was excellent, nothing bad to say at all
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
Ship was clean and maintained well, noticed in some of the public restrooms they were sure to clean/empty trash every hour.
Ship does need to be updated, just to look more modern, but overall fine.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
We had a cabin with a balcony, and loved it. I loved sitting out there at night reading my book before bed. Loved being able to step out in the morning to see where we were.
Rooms are small, but I think that is the norm for all cruise ships. Our room attendant was awesome, made sure we had everything we needed, cleaned our room daily and made cute towel animals.
Ship tip
We loved sitting on the back of the ship at the bar/buffet. That was our go-to spot. Breakfast/Lunch?Dinner....it was our happy place :)
We didn't do anything in Miami other than get on and off the ship. We flew into Ft Lauderdale and booked van service through Jiffy Jeff for 15 dollars per person, and he made it so easy to get into and out of port.
Cuba was amazing! We will definitely be going back. We saw the Tropicana show the first night we were there, hubby didn't care for it, and I could have gone with out, but was told it was a must see in Havana so we did it. It is an over the top cabaret show, so if latin music and showgirl type of stuff is your thing then why not? We bought through their website so it was cheaper than going through the cruise, and they give you a bottle of rum and couple cans of coke during the show.
The second day we booked a tour of Havana with Yosel of I Love Cuba Guided Photo Tours. He was amazing. Brought us to all the important spots in Havana. It was like a 6 hour history lesson. 200cuc for 6 hours and he takes all the pictures for you! Just bring your SD card for him. Definitely recommend Yosel and his company.
