Havana was my first port every on a cruise. And it was my first time visiting in 2017. Thank goodness it was an overnight because we made use of every moment! We tried the famous daiquiris, explores many historical spots, visited the museums and governmental buildings, we went into the bush and did a nature walk, we did a classic car tour and saw even more sights further away. We tried the local food at one restaurant in the center of the city but that was an underwhelming experience. I was told before going that the food wasn’t like you would expect it unless you ate at the hotels. The night we got in we also went to two rooftop bars and had a great time. The first stop featured a live band and singers and the second we got to see the making of a music video happening down below. It was amazing! Havana is truly a beautiful city with beautiful people and I will definitely go back and hope to venture further out into Cuba.

Havana is absolutely stunning. We did a private excursion that was a classic car tour of the city and our tour guide showed us all of Havana for 6 hours. Old Havana is a hybrid of European city infrastructure filled with classic 50s American cars.

The first day we did a 4 hour bus tour and hit all the big tourist attractions (the fort, the Christ statue, Colon Cemetery, and the flea market. This left us free the second day to have a private tour guide for the entire day and go anywhere we wanted. Best Day Ever! Frank took us to the cigar factory, the Bacardi building (at my request), Fusterlandia, Sloppy Joes for lunch, an amazing little coffee bar for the best coffee in the world, and to a baseball game!

Havana is absolutely amazing! Yes, it's an old city with limited modernization. But that's what makes it so incredibly charming! We took a tour through the ship that lasted all day and included visits to all the main points of interest including an excellent stop for lunch at a rooftop café. We would LOVE to visit Havana again! We love Europe, and Havana very much so reminded us of some European cities we've visited.

Cuba was fascinating! The MSC tour to Hemingway's House was well worth the money and time! We went on our own all day on Sunday and loved it! The people are genuine and very friendly! Friends on board went on a private tour and loved it as well. So either way it was nice! Thanks to President Obama we were able to go and meet a very wonderful people and enjoy their beautiful country!

This is a port that the cruise ships need to have at least a two or three full day & night stay. We arrived around 2PM our first day by the time the ship got cleared and I went through immigration it was already 4PM. Keep in mind that it gets dark early this time of year, so could not see much. Did have a evening excursion to the Tropicana hotel, which I thoroughly enjoyed since one was able to see a full 2 hour show while enjoying a nice meal. Just one heads-up everyone is given a Cuban cigar and a lot a people did smoke theirs that night, so it was good that it is an open air location. Second day, enjoyed seeing some of the main sights while in a classic car. Most of the ride was driving by most of the sites, so I recommend using videos cameras rather than photos to capture everything. The ride was about 2 hours, which was good since we had to be onboard by 11:30AM. Just too short. The cruise claims 2 days, which really amount to less than 22hrs.

We were super excited about this part of our cruise and it lived up to our expectations. We did two excursions one as a historical tour and one of a food tasting tour. Of the two I would recommend going with the locals to try the food as it was excellent. Our son spent a couple hour in the plaza just playing soccer with the local kids while we sat in an outdoor cafe watching them play. The people are great and super nice. They are very approachable and helpful if you have any questions. It is sad they are unable to leave the island but everyone we talked to was in great spirit and loved the cruise ship stopping there. I highly recommend this stop and to talk to the locals.

Arranged for our own tours, which were wonderful. Spent the evening walking the old quarter, taking in the music and sights.

If you are looking for a tour guide for a private tour in Havana look no further. We did a 1 day tour of Havana with Yofren of Cuba Por Favor and it was EXCELLENT! His English is perfect and he is friendly and knowledgeable. We toured old and new Havana including a stop at the Museum of the Revolution and had lunch at a nice restaurant in the back yard of a house. Before we arrived we emailed him to arrange the tour. I highly recommend him. His email address is yofren.carballo@nauta.cu
