Review summary
I would visit Havana again but not on this size of ship.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Was great, would have been quicker if there was no so much paperwork to fill out in order to go to Havana, Cuba.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
The food was ok. I sometimes wonder if the cooks ever taste their own food before serving it the guests.
Chops Grille
1 out of 5
I ate at Chops one night and landed up being disappointed since my Porterhouse lacked seasoning and had not been tenderized at all. My steak knife even had problems cutting through the meat.
Onboard Activities
1 out of 5
Ship was too small so it did not have much selection. I especially enjoy going to a spa to enjoy their steam room, whirl pool and pool, but it did not have these items.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
The shows were just ok, nothing that I really remember.
Children's Programs
Single, do not have children.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
My waiters in the main dinning room and my room steward were excellent.
Ship Quality
2 out of 5
All areas were clean.
My only complaint has to do with the ship itself, I am surprised that Royal Caribbean still has such a small ship in its fleet.
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
This is the smallest room I have ever been in, very limited move around space in the cabin. The bed itself took up 2/5 of the cabin.
Ship tip
Sorry to say this but go on a bigger ship since the ship's limits the variety of things the ship offers to do.
This is a port that the cruise ships need to have at least a two or three full day & night stay. We arrived around 2PM our first day by the time the ship got cleared and I went through immigration it was already 4PM. Keep in mind that it gets dark early this time of year, so could not see much. Did have a evening excursion to the Tropicana hotel, which I thoroughly enjoyed since one was able to see a full 2 hour show while enjoying a nice meal. Just one heads-up everyone is given a Cuban cigar and a lot a people did smoke theirs that night, so it was good that it is an open air location.
Second day, enjoyed seeing some of the main sights while in a classic car. Most of the ride was driving by most of the sites, so I recommend using videos cameras rather than photos to capture everything. The ride was about 2 hours, which was good since we had to be onboard by 11:30AM.
Just too short. The cruise claims 2 days, which really amount to less than 22hrs.
It was ok since I have already been to this port already on previous occasions. This time I did concentrate on locating a restaurant with authentic tacos.
Ughh. I knew that this would be a problem and no big ships offer trips to Cuba. I still want to have a good time on the ship as well as on land. And yes I like big ships. I feel small ship are for when I want a mellow and very relaxed time.
