Took an excursion to Valley Church Beach. The shuttle bus ride took you through the countryside for 40 minutes before arriving at the beach which had a very local vibe. The beach had white powdery sand and lots of little seashells. The water was clean, clear, and calm. One small shack for food and drinks. Jet ski rental available from the locals. Expect to be asked 100 times if you want to buy some jewelry or beach cover-ups.

Very small port. Not much there for shopping. People were fairly pushy which I don’t care for. We didn’t do an excursion. Just got off the ship because we have not been before. Nothing to write home about.

Nice Island. Hospitable people. Went on the stingray excursion. Had a great time overall. Kind of felt like it was a bit of a long wait and slightly disorganized at first but after returning felt very satisfied with this excursion. Was able to see some of the island with the drive across it to get to our destination. Recommend this tour

Be prepared! The locals are Very Very Pushy!!! If you don't know how to say no (over and over) you're going to be very broke and have a ton of random stuff... Magnets! For days! Be strong about your decisions not to buy something, because they will not give up (they offered me an ashtray as a "decoration" even though I said I don't smoke). There are some very nice people though. Neat city. Beautiful island.

Booked beach excursion through NCL. I forgot to take notes but remember it being a great day and one of my favorite beaches I’ve ever visited. Runaway Beach was relaxing and enjoyable.
