Take a short cab ride to Fort James beach. It's close, clean, reasonable, and secluded. You still have full facilities and no crowds.

The pier area is MUCH improved over my visit in 2007 or 2008; much cleaner and more inviting. I did not explore beyond that area.

If you have the opportunity, do the zip line excursion on Antigua. A clear 10 on a 10 scale.

We enjoyed our cultural/historic excursion with Tumba. Shirley Heights had beautiful views; the banana planations were interesting; and our stop at Darkwood Beach was lovely. We would go to this beach again. Just wear solid shoes. There are sand burrs at the edge of the sand that you must cross to get to the beach.

Very well organized port. We did the 4x4 Jeep Safari. Off roading through the mountains and a stop at the beach. It was an absolute blast.
