Wished we had more time there as our family lives there. My husband was born there and would have loved to show our son and daughter in law the town where he is from. His brother did come to San Juan to be with us for the hours while in port. Blessed for that time indeed

We did not do an excursion here but stayed at the embassy suites the night before. Love San Juan and can't wait to return. Very friendly people, nice beaches.

Fun & beautiful. Take the FREE shuttle to tour the town, then get off at the Castillo fort (a must). At the highest point in Old San Juan, it is an easy stroll downhill thru the picturesque streets past all the sights, back to the ship. As long as you are going down hilll, it doesn't matter which way you go, you will end up at the port.

Walking around Old San Juan is an inexpensive way to spend the day and soak up some of the culture. On the day we left the ship, we went back to our previous hotel in the Condado section, and they stored our luggage for free while we walked to a nearby beach. All the beaches are public, so even if a hotel is next to it, people have access.

Arrived early. Rented car and drove to El Yunque. Awesome experience. Also recommend local fast food. Pinchos and Alcapurrias were outstanding at El Borico in Pinones.
