Review summary

Loved the port intensive cruise. Its an old ship, but we weren't on it very much. If you want to spend a lot of time on the ship, this isn't he cruise for you. IF you want to see 5 different island ports this is a great itinerary.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Reading past reviews we knew what to expect. The ship is older and smaller than most others. 1 swimming pool even for a small ship wasn't enough. However, the ports were great.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Main dining room was good. Lido buffets didn't change much. Needed more variety.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Pool was small. Mini golf was boring after using it once.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Shows were Ok, again, we were so busy with excursions that the ship was not an attraction for us.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Room steward did a great job keeping ice bucket full all week.

Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Had 2 adults and 3 kids . Cabin was very tight on space with 2 bunks pulled down and a cot in the corner. Almost no floor space at all..

Ports of call

San Juan, Puerto Rico

5 out of 5
Arrived early. Rented car and drove to El Yunque. Awesome experience. Also recommend local fast food. Pinchos and Alcapurrias were outstanding at El Borico in Pinones.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

5 out of 5
Really didn't visit but rating here is for St John. Trunk bay is a really great snorkeling trail for beginners.

Bridgetown, Barbados

4 out of 5
Barbados was 50/50/ We were hasseled the most by vendors of any port that we visited. But High recommend swimming with the Turtles from Nevil (Google: Snorkel Wid Nevil). Amazing experience.

Castries, St. Lucia

4 out of 5
At this port we volunteered at a children's orphanage. Great life lessons for my children.

Basseterre, St. Kitts

5 out of 5
Splurge here and paid for the swim with the dolphin excursion. Pretty expensive, but bucket list item that will probably never happen again.. Very good experience. The pictures are very expensive: be prepared to pay a lot for the memories.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

5 out of 5
Here we just needed a low key beach day. Didn't do much by enjoy the water...

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Very smooth : used the early option to carry off our own stuff. TIP: you can go to Barrachina restaurant a few blocks away from the pier and they'll hold your luggage for tip money. Allowed us to explore old san juan before our late afternoon flight and not worry about our luggage.

is this the cruise out of San Juan that goes to st Thomas, st marteen, st Kitts, st Lucia, and Barbados? if so, I've taken that cruise twice, it's the best cruise I've been on.
