San Juan is beautiful. We walked around San Juan. Cannot wait to go back to this Island again to see more of it. Wish that the cruise lines stayed longer at this port or visited more often

Only walked the immediate Old San Juan area. Many buildings still devastated or under reconstruction. The shops that were open for business were well stocked and had very friendly and appreciative personnel.

We sailed into San Juan at 2pm. It was fun to watch the city come into view. We say dolphins 🐬 while we were docking so be sure to be watching the water! We did not book any excursions. My husband enjoys history so we planned to tour the forts on our own. When you get off the ship there is shopping right at the dock. CVS and Walgreens if you need to replenish anything you forgot at home or on board. We weren't doing a beach that day, but realized we needed sunblock and had to stop and get a small bottle as ours was on the ship. We walked up into Old San Juan and went to the first Fort. There are many shops and restaurants along the way. There is a $5 entrance fee per person and that gets you into both forts. My husband really enjoyed the history of the forts. I enjoyed the views of the water and our ship in the distance. We asked how long the walk was to the next Fort and the attendant said "however long it takes you to walk a mile". I'm telling you, it had to be longer than one mile!! We put in over 20,000 steps while in port walking Fort to Fort!! We did a little shopping for souvenirs on the way back to the ship. Next time I'd plan a bus tour while in San Juan just to see other sites and walk less!

So far, San Juan is my favorite port in the Caribbean! I love to walk through Old San Juan to the fort! Such a beautiful walk! The architecture is amazing but even the trees are a must see! If you are physically able take this walk! You won’t be disappointed
